Big Tips for Small Spenders

So you are one of the most frugal people you know. You are so diligent when it comes to gas usage, stock piled on sales items, and you’ve got next year’s Christmas gifts purchased and wrapped under the bed! Whew. Is there anyone alive who is like this?
Just because someone out there may be a step ahead of everyone else’s game does not mean that they have this week’s groceries planned out. What about those who need tips for today’s dilemmas? Shopping is a necessity and we all have to do it to survive. Following simple rules can change the face of your finances.
Do you trash the weekly flyers from the mailbox? Well you should be reading every one of them. Each store has different sales at different times and you could miss them by not paying attention to the sales in your area. If you miss the sales that are local to you, then you may end up driving out of your way later to find what was on sale locally, last week.
Find stores, such as Wal-Mart, that have price match guarantees. If a store will match an advertised price then it can be food, toiletries, or electronics. Take them for their word and you could save a ton. The same goes for rainchecks. If you have a grocery store that accepts and gives rainchecks then always check their flyers and always get rainchecks for sale items that are out of stock. You will be the one smiling when you save money on an item that is no longer on sale!
Use an envelope to write your grocery list on so that you can keep your corresponding coupons organized.
